My educational philosophy

 

My philosophy has been influenced by my mentors and colleagues because they have set high academic standards for students and instructors. Every semester I receive two evaluations one from myHOD and another from one of my colleagues.They attend my class and give feedback.

I believe that teachers should set specific and clear expectations standards and goals from the first day. Moreover, he must respect intellectual diversity inside and outside the classroom and build trust among students.

As I am an instructor in Oman College of Health Science, my mission to integrate technology in teaching as still there is resistance from students and some faculty to use technology because they adhered to the old method of learning.

I believe the technology empowers students by giving them ownership of how they learn , making education relevant to their digital lives and preparing them for futures.

I am sure I will be able to use a blended learning environment and digital tools for formative and summative assessment.
